Our Inspiration & Legacy of Late Abul Basher Darji
RIP (1948-2001)
The late Abul Basher (Darjee) was born in 1948 to a prominent Muslim family in Hijulia village of Borotia union of Manikganj submerged Ghior sub-district. He was the eldest son of 4 sons and 2 daughters of father late Sorhab Uddin Darjee and mother late Habiya Khatun. He received his SSC with honors in 1965 and his graduate degree in 1971. After his father was died, he was being educated outside the house and at the same time he was playing a leading role in educating the younger siblings. He gives credit to his family of instilling in him certain values that have served him well throughout his life.
Major Accomplishments
Although Abul Basher did not directly participate in the liberation war organized for the independence of Bengal in 1971, he was one of the pioneers of the overall struggle for the liberation of his area at that time. He never bothered to collect the freedom fighter’s recognition certificate and did not feel the need to take advantage of this quota with his family. He always believed that it was the duty of every patriot to liberate for the sake of an independent Bangladesh and to fight for independence, he never wanted it to be misused. He has always kept himself open & secretly and silently engaged in philanthropy. A man who is very kind and very loving is always on the lookout for anyone’s sorrows & calamities and who has always cooperated in selfless & solitary silence for the rest of his life.
After his degree, Abul Basher worked hard to join his role as an Auditor of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh (Supreme Audit Institution of Bangladesh) since 1974 to until death. From there, she aimed to meet her potential, take on new challenges, but she didn’t strive hard to go beyond expectations. He never compromised with honesty and devotion in his 27 years of service, he had no place for injustice. He was respected as an ideal and just person in the workplace His office mates were an ideal, kind, sweet-spoken, transparent and personable employee.
Family Life
The late Abul Basher was married to Nurjahan Begum, a member of a Muslim family in Pabna district in 1972 and was an ideal and self-interested husband. On June 19, 2001, Mohammadpur left the world due to a brain hemorrhage at his home and left for behind 4 son and a wife. He is lying in his native village grave in the grave of his family, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

He never spoke angrily to anyone, including his children. His relationship with his children was so friendly. Late Abul Basher – was an ideal and meaningful husband, an ideal and meaningful father, an ideal man of a very kind and absolutely patriotic humanity with a benevolent personality.
